In December, I photographed the many ways that people decorate their lawns, fences and towns to celebrate the Christmas season. For some it’s a Santa Claus and reindeer; for others, it’s a wreath, a “Peace on Earth” sign, or fireworks; for others still, it’s angels or a crèche. All of this offers a hint to the meaning of this special time of year.
